About me
Hi I'm Luci, I am able to provide manual driving lessons in Plymouth, Devon.
Before training to become a driving instructor I was a Care Coordinator for a home care company for 10 years. Due to my previous job role and responsibilities my previous skills are a great asset in my driving school business. I’ am compassionate, open minded and of an easy going nature. Prior to my care work, I was a Car Mechanic for 4 years. As part of my teaching I want to educate and highlight motor vehicle maintenance and safety. I want to share my knowledge and skills to ensure that my pupils know how to maintain their cars and be confident when approaching garages.
I was born in Telford; however I have lived in Plymouth for over 30 years. I have two children and a Tortoise. In my spare time you will find me on a motocross track with my son, at the beach or at a soft play area with my daughter.
I chose to have a change of career because I missed the car aspect of my previous jobs, just not the dirty hands! I wanted to become an entrepreneur, start my own business but also give back to members of my community. I enjoy coaching people and I have a sense of pride when people learn new skills and develop themselves. I will be teaching members of my community a new life skill, to gain independence and to help the next generation of car drivers.
One thing that makes LDC different from other driving schools is the teaching methods and materials that I as a franchised driving instructor use. The LD system is unique to LDC and designed to empower the learner and to help them progress through their lessons more effectively. I have used this system myself to do all of my training and it has provided me with so much knowledge and structure to make it easy to remember the practical skills and theory questions.
Your lessons with me will be fun, calm and empowering. You cannot make mistakes, we are on this journey together and I will try my best to make our lessons as comfortable as possible.
Hopefully this gives you some information about me, please feel free to "Contact me", I look forward to hearing from you.
